For the last 10 years, I’ve worked in the fine food industry, and one of the things I’ve loved most is discovering the people behind the products. I’ve seen first-hand the passion, time and care that independent producers put into what they make — often without the recognition or reach that the quality of their products deserves.

There are so many brilliant British food businesses making incredible things, but unless you happen to come across them, it’s easy to never know they exist. I wanted to change that.

Lawrence & Co. started with a simple idea: bring some of these exceptional products together in one place and get them into the hands of more people. Not just as products to buy, but as things to discover, enjoy and share.

At the same time, I wanted to build something of our own — a genuine family business that we could grow over time and be proud of. Something built around great food, good people and supporting other businesses along the way.

Every hamper is our way of doing both: helping independent makers reach new customers while creating something thoughtful and genuinely enjoyable to give.

We're only at the beginning, but that's the part we're most excited about.
